A Coudersport man is facing criminal charges including aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI in connection to a crash in July in Roulette Township.
Coudersport-based state police released a report on Sunday stating that Dallas Taylor, 21, was arraigned August 28 on the charges and released on unsecured bail. Police said the accident occurred at 3:12 a.m. near 352 Lanninger Creek Road, Roulette.
According to police, Taylor is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, a second-degree felony; two counts of endangering the welfare of children and six counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, first-degree misdemeanors; two counts of recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors; two counts of furnishing liquor to a minor, third-degree misdemeanors.
He is also charged with the following summaries: driving on the right side of the roadway, driving vehicle at a safe speed, careless driving, reckless driving, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and occupant protection, police reported.
Police identified the alleged victims as a 14-year-old female from Austin and a 13-year-old female from Roulette. Neither their names nor their medical conditions were released.
Sunday’s release from state police did not provide further details about the crash itself.
The Roulette Chemical Engine #1 reported some details on social media on July 18. According to the fire company, firefighters were dispatched for a report of a vehicle that rolled off the road onto its roof. Squad 46 and Engine 46 from Roulette, along with two Roulette ambulances, responded.
Three patients were transported to UPMC Cole for treatment, the fire department reported.
