SMETHPORT — A Bradford man who was arrested with the help of several law enforcement agencies in June at a Bradford hotel pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court.
Ivan C. Williams, 34, entered a guilty plea to charges of flight to avoid apprehension and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Between Jan. 26 and June 6, Williams, knowing he was on state parole, concealed himself to avoid apprehension. He intentionally moved around to evade arrest.
On June 6, law enforcement officials from several agencies located Williams at the Comfort Inn in Bradford and arrested him. Law enforcement on scene included U.S. Marshals, Bradford City police, state police and Bradford Township police.
When he was taken into custody, Williams possessed 3.5 grams of cocaine that was packaged for sale, said McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer.
Williams will be sentenced Sept. 26.
