Bradford shut out Villa Maria Academy 4-0 in high school boys soccer action Thursday.

Scoring for the Owls were Patrick Morrisroe, Matt Bundy and Colton Bly, who had two goals including a penalty kick.

“Today we finally were able to bring everything we’ve been working on together,” noted Wes Lohrman, Bradford coach. “We only capitalized on one scoring opportunity in the first half, but in the second half our passing wore down the other team and we took advantage of a lot more opportunities. This was a game the coaching staff and players are all proud of.

“Shawn Disney, Brett Butler and Steven Tingley really pulled everything together in the middle of the field tonight. Patrick Morrisroe up top was able to generate scoring opportunities, and Matt Bundy and Matt Anderson on the outside generated support for the defense and helped with the offensive attack.

“Our defensive four, Alex Borland, Tyree Bennett, Richard Obermyer and Josh Bailey, provided a solid defense and also provided numerous attacking opportunities.”

Bradford hosts Erie Central High School on Tuesday.
